2023 GRANT CYCLE: CLOSED FOR 2023

 

Sweet Home Community Foundations accepts grant applications February of each year. Grants are generally awarded later in the spring.

​

The goal of the foundation is to provide funding and support to worthwhile community projects in the Sweet Home area.  Special consideration is placed on projects that can demonstrate lasting benefits to our community.  

​

SHCF Community Grants were available for up to $10,000 each.

​

Grant applicants must be a 501(c) 3 or other qualified tax-exempt organization or the proposed project may be implemented in partnership or affiliation with such an organization.

GENERALLY, A SUCCESSFUL SWEET HOME COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANT PROJECT WILL:

 

  • Improve the quality of life in Sweet Home

  • Have broad community support and/or foster community involvement

  • Have a lasting, beneficial effect

  • Provide widely available advantages for children and families or enhanced livability, education and arts and culture to the community

  • The applicant demonstrates a high likelihood to successfully complete the project.

 

PROJECTS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR SWEET HOME COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANTS INCLUDE:

​

  • Direct grants, scholarships, or loans to individuals

  • Endowments

  • General fund drives or annual fundraising appeals

  • Projects of sectarian or religious organizations whose principal benefit are for their own members or adherents

  • To retire debt or operational deficits.
