Sweet Home Community Foundations received 14 applications this year and after carful review the Board approved eight (8) Community Projects. See press release for more information. 

 

Congratulations to: 

  • Sweet Home Art & Culture Committee ~ Community Mural Project

  • Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Santiam ~ Facility Scoreboards

  • Family Tree Relief Nursery ~ Sweet Home Site/Classroom Project

  • Friends of the Sweet Home Public Library ~ Little Library Project

  • Kids Food Pak/Community Chapel ~ Kids Food Pak Program 

  • Oregon Cascade Government/Senior Meals on Wheels ~ Sweet Home Senior Meals at SH Meal Site

  • Sweet Home Park & Tree Committee ~ Weddle Bridge Repairs

  • Sweet Home Pregnancy Center ~ Baby Safety Project

GENERALLY, A SUCCESSFUL SWEET HOME COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANT PROJECT WILL:

 

  • Improve the quality of life in Sweet Home

  • Have broad community support and/or foster community involvement

  • Have a lasting, beneficial effect

  • Provide widely available advantages for children and families or enhanced livability, education and arts and culture to the community

  • The applicant demonstrates a high likelihood to successfully complete the project.

 

PROJECTS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR SWEET HOME COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANTS INCLUDE:

​

  • Direct grants, scholarships, or loans to individuals

  • Personnel costs

  • Endowments

  • General fund drives or annual fundraising appeals

  • Projects of sectarian or religious organizations whose principal benefit are for their own members or adherents

  • To retire debt or operational deficits.
