2026 Annual Grants Announced

Congratulations to our 2026 SHCF community grants awards, funded by local individuals through the Sweet Home Community Foundation Endowment and the Tim and Jo Ann McQueary- Leave a Local Legacy Endowment.

Grants were awarded in the following categories: Children and Families, Education, Livability and Arts & Culture

2026 SHCF Community Grant recipients include:

  • Hawthorne School PTC - funds to purchase ADA accessible playground equipment.

  • The Sweet Home Pregnancy Care Center- funds to purchase car seats for newborn babies and pre-natal vitamins.

  • Sweet Home Emergency Ministries (SHEM) – funds to purchase a new commercial refrigerator.

  • The MIKE Healthcare Program – funds to provide mentored health education, healthcare career exploration and a youth leadership summit in conjunction with the SHSD.

  • Sweet Home Youth Baseball – funds for local baseball field improvements.

  • Meals on Wheels – funds for the Sweet Home area meal program.

  • Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce – funds to purchase additional tables and chairs for community groups and events.

  • Lake Town Academy – funding for a student greenhouse for academic studies.

Grants are only possible through the generosity of local businesses and individuals who annually support SHCF.

Any individual, family or estate, can establish a named endowment under the SHCF’s tax deductible, “Leave a Local Legacy” program. These endowments can annually gift funds to local projects under the family fund name. This program assures that a family or loved-one will be permanently remembered by the community. Those wishing more information about SHCF or about establishing an endowment can contact us at info@giveshcf.org or call 541-730-3670.

IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE SWEET HOME COMMUNITY.

We support organizations and projects that make Sweet Home such a great place to live.  We accomplish this be assisting them in receiving tax deductible donations and by providing grants which help fund projects

Each year the Sweet Home Community Foundation opens an annual grant cycle and accepts applications. The grant cycle opens in February and closes in the Spring. Board members review and score all applications based on a set criteria (see application) and meets as a group to make final decisions on which grants qualify and will be funded. Grants are awarded in late Spring of each year and recipients must complete their projects before the next grant cycle starts.
